How would you describe your band?
We’re a 4-piece band Space Of Variations. We’re playing heavy music with post-soviet charm. A lot of experiments in sound and great live shows – that’s how we roll. From Ukraine with love.
What do you think about the growth that Latin-American Metal music has had in the recent years?
It’s a magical moment to show your music to the whole world. Latin America is one of the most exotic places on our planet and I’m glad that our music style is relevant here. For sure, we will have a great tour in Latin America someday.
Who is the Latin-American musician that has inspired you the most?
I think Sepultura and Ill Niño.
What do you think of when you hear the word Mexico?
Actually, Mexico is something very exotic and interesting for me. The first association with Mexico is the pyramids of the Aztecs and the incredible beauty of nature.
What do you think about Mexican culture?
We live in Ukraine, and Mexico is totally different from what we’re used to seeing and feeling. That’s why it’s so interesting to visit your country and experience the whole spectrum of colors of your culture.
If you could describe Mexican metal music, what would you say?
Actually, I know only one metal band from Mexico. It’s called Here Comes The Kraken. Don’t know if they still exist as a band but they were sick.
Tell us about a Mexican metal band that has marked your career.
To be honest there’s no metal band from Mexico that marked our career.
If you could collaborate with a Mexican band or artist, who would you choose?
I’d choose to collaborate with guys from Sepultura. I know they are from Brazil, but it’s still Latin America
What do you think about the opportunity that online festivals give to connect with more people?
It’s so awesome that during these hard times we have the opportunity to connect with our listeners from all over the world. But the real magic happens at live shows with a real audience
What are your expectations of AZTECH MICTLÁN FEST?
To show our music to people who would love it. It’s our main expectation!

Somos una banda de 4 integrantes: Space Of Variations. Tocamos música pesada con encanto postsoviético. Experimentamos con muchos sonidos y hacemos grandes shows en vivo, así es como lo hacemos. De Ucrania con amor.
¿Cómo has visto el crecimiento del Metal Latinoamericano?
Es un momento mágico para mostrar tu música al mundo entero. América Latina es uno de los lugares más exóticos de nuestro planeta y me alegra que nuestro estilo musical sea relevante ahí. Seguramente algún día tendremos una gran gira por Latinoamérica.
¿Quién es el músico latinoamericano que más te ha inspirado?
Pienso en Sepultura e Ill Niño.
¿Qué piensas cuando escuchas la palabra México?
En realidad, México es algo muy exótico e interesante para mí. Lo primero que asocio con México son las pirámides de los Aztecas y la increíble belleza de su naturaleza.
¿Qué opinas de la cultura mexicana?
Vivimos en Ucrania y México es totalmente diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver y sentir. Por eso es tan interesante visitar su país y experimentar todo el espectro de colores de su cultura.
Si pudieras describir el metal mexicano ¿Cómo sería?
De hecho, solo conozco una banda de metal de México, se llama Here Comes The Kraken y no sé si todavía existen como banda pero eran geniales.
Menciónanos alguna banda de metal mexicano, que te haya dejado algún impacto.
Para ser honesto, no hay una banda de metal de México que haya marcado nuestra carrera.
Si pudieras hacer una colaboración con un artista o banda mexicana ¿con quién sería?
Elegiría colaborar con Sepultura. Sé que son de Brasil, pero sigue siendo América Latina.
¿Qué opinas de poder llegar a más personas con los festivales online?
Es tan maravilloso que durante estos tiempos difíciles tengamos la oportunidad de conectar con nuestros seguidores de todo el mundo, pero la verdadera magia ocurre en los shows en vivo con una audiencia real

Mostrar nuestra música a personas a las que les pudiera encantar. ¡Es nuestra principal expectativa!
